According to NFL insider Adam Schefter's twitter, the San Francisco 49ers have reached an agreement with former New York Giant RB Brandon Jacobs. Terms have not yet been disclosed.

According to Micheal Lombardi of the NFL Network, the NFL has announced the season opener. It will obviously feature the world champion New York Giants. They will face The Dallas Cowboys, in what will be a heated NFC East rival game. The 2012 NFL season opens Wednesday Sept 5/2012.

Bronco's Trade Tebow To Jets
The Denver Bronco's have traded Tim Tebow to the New York Jets. In return the Jets gave up their 4th and 6th round draft picks, but will also receive Denver's 7th round pick.
Tebow is expected to complement starter Mark Sanchez, who received a $40.5 million contract extension, with $20.5 million guaranteed, earlier this month.
*UPDATE - Trade is on hold due to a 5 Million advance owed to Tebow. The Jet's do not want to pay for this, and Denver assumed it would shift to the Jets with the trade.*

Dungy: Eagles Should Consider Tebow
Former Colt's head coach Tony Dungy, thinks that the Philadelphia Eagles should consider adding Tim Tebow to their roster.
“Left-handed guy. Same offense. Mobile quarterback,” Dungy told the Dan Patrick show on Tuesday.. “As much as Mike (Vick) has been hurt, if you’re Andy Reid, you probably have to look at it, and think about it.”
Now that Peyton Manning is the man in Denver, reports say that the Bronco's are actively looking to trade Tebow.
Michael Lombardi of the NFL Network, has reported that there are 5 teams interested in Tebow's service, however, the 5 teams in question remain a mystery.
The New England Patriots have been rumored to be one of the teams, although Dungy doesn't think it would be a good fit. “I don’t know that Tim wants to play another position, I couldn’t see it working where you’re bringing this guy in as a change of pace for Tom Brady.” said Dungy.

Eagles Land Ryans In Trade With Texans
The Philadelphia Eagles have landed MLB DeMeco Ryans from the Houston Texans, according to NFL insider Jay Glazer.
With Ryans the Eagles acquire a former AP NFL Defensive Rookie Of The Year. Ryans was also selected twice for the Pro Bowl (2007 & 2009)
Alex Smith and 49ers Agree On Deal
Alex Smith has agreed to a deal with San Francisco 49ers. The final deal has not yet been confirmed. The 49ers originally offered Smith a 3 year deal for 24 million, 10 million guaranteed.
That was before the 49ers had Peyton Manning work out for them and before Smith took a work out with the Miami Dolphins.
The former number one pick had his most consistent season last year throwing for 3144 yards, 17 touchdowns, 5 interceptions and a QB rating of 90.7. The 49ers lost to the New York Giants last season in the NFC Championship game.
